>>Hi all,
>>I am about to commit to a framework and have narrowed down the choices to Codemine and Mere Mortals. The sample app from Codemine is great, while the sample app from MM left me wondering what all the fuss is about. But there must be a reason so many of you here use MM.

Currently it would be client/server, but I do have an unused SQL server 7 running that I would like to upsize the app onto. Especially if we open some branches nationwide in the next year.

>I did not work with MM, but what I like about CodeMine is its flexibility. I rolled out my first app in CodeMine in a month, starting from the moment I got the framework and looked it first time. The application I was developing was unusual (non-standard) in approach to data handling (due to using of FP 2.5 DBFs, restrictions on indexes and user inerface requirements). But CodeMine easily allowed me to apply this different approach.

Thanks, your first project sounds a bit like this one, I have tables from a FPD2.6 app and some tables from a partial port of that app to VFP6. I've played with rebuilding in VFP6 without a framework and have learned my limitations as well as the time to get us off of the DOS app has long passed.
