Hi Tim,

Are you sure you want to go through this? Would you tell us what it is you're trying to achieve?

Is it not easier to tie the other fields to functions as well?

Regards,

Marc

>I need to be able to programmitically add a field to a report. The field must be the first field in the detail band (it is going to call a function that will effect the other fields in the band). There are no group bands on the report. In testing, I manually added a field to a report and looked at the underlying record(s) that were added to the frx table.

I need to know how to determine the vpos so that the new field is the first field in the band. When I change the value of vpos to 0 the control is moved under the page header bar (you can't see it). When I move the bar down a little the field appears but seems to be placed in the page header which is not what I want.

The reports that need to be updated are from the fpw days that have been converted to visual foxpro. I noticed that several of the reports in this application do not have the dataenvironment record in them. Do I need to create this record also?
