>Well there is no perfect system and we do not make the business rules for Microsoft. We should get our collective act together and use it for something positive. Hiding our heads in the sand and expressing our frustrations to each other are two approaches. Now let us do something productive and contact the people we know at Microsoft and let them know how we feel!

Tom, the reason for me to start thread #643062 was that several attempts to get in direct contact with James Saunders completely failed. My emails and 'private threads' - about a certain bug I found - to him were not answered at all (like sending something to a black hole indeed). I'm not sure what to think of that. My initial feelings are that it's simply impolite and arrogant of HIM (is 'arrogant' an english word?). But I felt not very sure about it and I wanted to check on this forum whether or not my feelings are correct. Perhaps it's just simply impolite of ME to try to get in direct contact with those very very busy MS Vips.

And now you suggest that we should contact the people WE KNOW at Microsoft and let them know how we feel. But MY contacts at MS are only minimal (notwithstanding the fact that I'm the author of two articles in Foxtalk, december 2001 issue). I really feel somewhat 'shy' in this matter. That's why I invited Ken Levy to join this thread. But up until now there's only silence over there. Wonder if they read along... Hope they join the thread!
Groet,
Peter de Valença

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
