Colin and Gary,

I too have had experience with David/Tobit. To my knowledge it's the only system that really delivers in a reliable way.

Since then I've tried "faxserver" with all kinds of frustrations.

Kind regards,

Marc

>Don't know how usefull this is but I use Tobit David/Faxware in a VFP env. I run David from a NT server and the Tobit Infocentre/Faxware client runs on a variety of w/stations. I previously used David on an existing Netware 3 server too. I have had great success with this platform. Every few weeks or so, I batch send 1000+ faxes under program control but daily, the faxing stuff is woven into our application and forgotten about - all manner of documentation is processed by VFP in Word/Excell and auto-faxed to agents all over the country. We use a Tobit ISDN board for mainly inbound (for CLI routing purposes) and have a couple of specific fax modems (Multitechs) for outbound faxing. You can use a vast number of Tobit "@@" commands that can pretty much control the faxing process (they can be embedded in documents/text files etc). There is a "little documented" COM interface that I am playing around with at the moment that appears very powerfull.

>>I have a Client installation of 20 pcs all running Win2K. We are just about to embark on network faxing using Winfax 10. I have tried this before in a Win98 environment with bad results as the pcs continually failed to connect to the fax server (the only pc with an outside line). Should my experiences using Win2K be any better?

>>Alternatively since we are running ADSL is there any way using VFP6 of sending a fax over the internet. If so can this be done for free or are we incurring costs each time we fax?

>>I would be grateful for anyone's experiences in this field.
