Hi Vince,

Just on the GetCOMInstance, it is a function that Menachem wrote, and a listing of the code should be available in the book, so if you still wished to use it have a look in your book.

>I am attempting to generate word documents in a Fox App. I am doing so by attempting to create a com client. Taking my leads from The Menachem Bazian book, Using VFP6. He uses: loWord = GetCOMInstance("word.application"). I find no references in the documentation for "GetCOMInstance", but Bazain swears by it. Throws error: "file getComInstance does not exist". loWord=GETOBJECT(, "word.Application") also does not work, throws: ole error code 08x800401e3 operation unavailable. I have set oleobject on. Am I missing a service pack?
