Why don't you use VFP Foundation Class for Resize?
She doesn't work too well, because it resizes everything (also Command buttons), but you can change it, for fit your needs.

In my opinion, you can add a property for your objects, showing what behavior it will have when Rezise is made (go left, go rigth, grow left, etc).

It works with me.
