I understand that not all data corruption can be corrected. But shouldn't there be a way to scan a file and determine if corruption exist? I have a customer that has infile data corruption. When you look at the data in VFP all character fields are displaying vertical bars. If I look at a substr of the first character in each field it is displayed as a hollow box. Is there a way I can scan through the file and look for these characters?
