>Don't underestimate the cost of going to thin client, both terminal server and citrix requires client accesslicenses and they are not going cheap. For running them comfortly you'll have to have a well equiped server costing way over a $2000. Keep in mind that here in europe we've suffered from a devaluation of the Euro (compared to $) and you earn $1000 much quicker than we do.

You are not reading this like I am... he has a *current* application that he wants to run. That means he has current installations of the application. I have been in this situation - your options are 1)to rewrite the application and make it work in both scenarios, or 2)do nothing and implement the right technology for the job. If you start trying to make an *existing* application work on a low bandwidth connection, you are going to have problems.

Citrix may not be necessary... I don't know.

Again, this is an existing application. It will be cheaper to implement a thin-client solution for this instead of trying to make it fit.

If you are going to rewrite, it needs to be rewritten from the ground up - not retrofitted.
