I have two support apps running on a server type machine. On app supports a user desiring to view a drawing. The apps places a date stamp on each sheet of the drawing before the drawing is viewable on the users machine. The second app works in a similar fashion except the user ckicks on a button and the drawing is date stamped and printed with out the user machine waiting for the print process(sort of a batch printing process for several drawings at once). The problem is if Acrobat is printing from the second app and someome queues the first app I get a conflict. The message is Acrobat cannot open a file while printing is in process. Any ideas on how to solve this. How could one app test to see if Acrobat is in use and wait until it is closed by the other app?
