I agree, my reaction WAS harsh and I sincerely apologize for it....I had an initial kneejerk reaction and after continued thinking on the subject I think I now understand the point of view and would agree somewhat with the earlier comments. I guess I'm just one of those who don't have a problem with the way it's coded. No, most of my clients have no idea what the code is or how it is coded....

>That's rather harsh. The code in Pro Series is infamous for being a tangled mess of legacy code that gets worse with every revision. I've only talked to a couple people who like the way it is coded and many, many who don't. Whether your customers are satisfied or not is irrelavent. Our customers are happy, too. That doesn't mean we like the code we have to deal with. They are happy because we have learned to deal with the code and produce the results they are looking for. If your clients are mucking around in the code and telling you how great it is, you have some strange customers.

>>Then the client has the wrong consultant. I have worked with the SBT and ACCPAC Products for years and never have I had the problems you mention. Nothing but satisfied customers who pay dearly for my services.....ACCPAC is highly configurable. The half assed conversions you mention are time proven accounting principals and hold true to this day. You might update your client from SBT to ACCPAC to see the difference. Give me their name and I'll take over the account for you....If you don't like it why do you still work with it?.....If you're an ACCPAC certified reseller or consultant I'm sure they (ACCPAC) would like to hear from you. You're not listed, on their website as an authorized reseller or consultant....That doesn't mean you're not but what qualifies you to work on the product and disparedge it here?
