Check out FaxMan Jr.

We purchased it last year and it wasn't very expensive and does all kinds of good stuff. It does most of the dirty work for you. We use it mainly to send faxes from a VFP6 app. I added a button to my VFP form in my app that makes the FaxMan Jr. take off and do its thing. There are only a handful of commands required to make FaxMan Jr. do a send from VFP. I think in my case I am sending a .TXT file that is created in my VFP form, but you can also send graphics files and it also has a receive capability which we don't have need for at this time.
