>You really just do not "get it" Mike. Until individuals have a sense of their own worth they won't even clean up after themselves let alone fight for more freedoms.
I don't know what exactly you mean by a human being's "worth", but, supposing you could actually find away to prove that a human is "worth" something and how to quantify it, is the Bible the only way to open people's eyes to freedom?
>This is no diversion whatsoever. I could cite case after case where the introduction of the Bible has precipitated a huge upswing in local cultures.
And I could cite case after case where Christianity has introduced adverse effects of its own. Whether we accepted your cites or mine, we'd still be dancing around the issue I raised.
>The whole notion of private property arises from the notion of the dignity of the individual.
Good idea. We should probably pass a law that only allows land owners to vote.
If Christian's have nothing to hide, how can you advocate "private property"?
>You simply cannot intellectually derive that from a mechanistic philosophy of life.
You can't derive what? That people who "own" 20 acres of land are "better" or more dignified than those who own none? You're totally right; you can't come to that conclusion with my world views. Thats a good thing.
