Title:
SQL Server Login with a DSN file
To all,
I've got an app that's using VFP as the biz tier and Sql Server as the data tier. The VFP shell is logging onto SQL Server with a SQLConnect(), with a dsn file as the parameter. All the pertinant login info is contained in the DSN file, but sometimes SQL Server pops up a login dialog. The dialog has the correct information for logging in, and all I have to do is click on the OK button, but I much rather not have the dialog in the first place.
I've looked at several books and the on-line documentation, but everything references maintaining the login security... nothing talks about the trivial aspect of actually logging on...
So, does anyone have any links to information about logging onto SQL Server with DSN files?
TIA,
Thom C.
