That's not entirely correct. NMS is NOT cancelled. MS is just reconsidering how to ship the product. As you may know, there have been lots of discussions about MS handle the data, so this is not a complete surprise.

Note that MS has disputed articles writen by the Washington Post that they were pulling the plug on this (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/134435288_hailstorm12.html).

That said: My session will be a bit different than I had originally planned. A bit more about Web Services in general, a bit more about Passport, a bit more Alerts. I'm planning to show only things that will be of importance no matter how MS ultimately decides to ship NMS.
