>>A Merge Module for IE 6.0 would be nice. I found http://www.installsoftusa.com/ which until 2/05/2002 offered an IE 6.0 merge module download but have since pulled it due to Microsoft's repackaging policy... It sure would be nice if Microsoft put one out themselves.... I really like to have the latest browser control.

>As you've found out, there isn't a merge module available for it anymore. The only way to make sure the user has the latest version is to download the IEAK from Microsoft. It seems like overkill, but it actually works pretty well. It creates it's own installation package & set-up that you can customize. It's also the easiest way to make sure you get everything that is required installed on the users side.

I did download and create a installation package using the wizard. Yes, it is easy to use and is nice if you want to create a "standalone Explorer" application. All I need is the latest web control. My frameworks hosts the control as one of the interfaces it provides. All navigation is provided by the framework's Outlook bar and Treeview control.

The thing with VFP 6.0's "Microsoft Web Browser" control is it gave me just the control itself. Plus it gave me whichever version of Internet Explorer I had installed on the computer creating the setup application. This is all I want. There must be an easy way to do this?

I am going to try to use InstallShield's Dynamic Scanning Wizard to detect just the DLLs I need.

Anyone know what the WebClassRuntime merge module is?
