The old value was that the editbox used the Windows color settings that I have my machine set to. My Window default color was set to white background, black text.

So that means that the UT is now "violating" the windows design guidelines of respecting my color settings by default.

It is good that we can set this value now, I just don't think you should have it defaulting to black text on dark gray. Nick pointed me to the Tool menu item for selecting the color.
