I've read through the Jan thread 'Can't install SP1' but I can't see my problem there.

I'm running on Win2000

1. I downloaded vfp70sp1.msp and tried running it both by double-clicking and from the run command - got message 'This patch package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.'

2. Updated my Windows Installer by downloading and running instmsiw.exe - checked msi.dll and version is 2.0.2600.2

3. Tried vfp70sp1.msp again - get same message as before.

Has anyone got any ideas ?
