That reminds me of a BBS interface (20+ years ago at 300 baud) where new users were greeted with a 'long' style prompt:
View,Reply,Delete,Next,Previous,More>
while intermediate users got:
V,R,D,N,P,M>
and advanced users saw only:
?>
Users picked their own level of prompt as they gained experience.

I make this illustration only to suggest that more proficient users can be trusted with greater ease of use. Exactly how this would play out in a VFP form is an exercise that I will leave to the reader(s). :-)
