You can download a report framework extension to Mere Mortals I wrote from:

It supports Crystal Reports 8.5 (and, of course, VFP reports). It's free and includes a help file to get you started. Download it and see if it adds the type of reporting capabilities you're looking for.

BTW - I've used both VMP and MM's and I MUCH prefer Mere Mortals. The documentation is excellent and the framework is well designed.
