i have a date field which stores the birth date of employees.

i want to extract (thru' sql) those employees whose birthdays fall 4-5 days before the system date on any given day and i would like to have the list sorted on only the day of the month value and not the entire date field. for example, if one birthday falls on 1st April, 1971 and another on 2nd April, 1941 I want the order to show (in MM/DD/YYYY format) as below -

04/01/1971
04/02/1941
04/03/1954 etc.

from the above it will be seen that the resultant data should be sorted on the DD value only

what will the SQL syntax be ?
