I think you can't change the color of your buttons directly. The user can change the colors in the Control Panel, and I suggest to leave it that way (respect the users' preferences).
However, workarounds are possible; for instance, you could use a picture (bitmap) on your button, or use some other object - I don't know if a Shape would work, for instance.
