They'd take all the credit for building such a successfull team, plus all the financial benefits of such a feat. They'd threaten to sell the teams to other states unless they got more money from their current homes. Being World Champions (which really means MLB champions, but we won't rain on that parade), no state would let them go or deny their demands. Then, with their new found stash of cash, they'd treat athletes like livestock and trade away the players that actually worked hard to win the title agaisnt the odds for star players (that usually never perform).
