It seems me that the impressions people are getting is that VFP8 will be released fairly soon, however, if I remember correctly, there was at least a 2-3 year gap in between VFP6 and VFP7 being "announced", how come VFP8 is being disclosed so soon to us when quite a few of us haven't even upgraded to VFP7 yet? I understand it is probably your goal to get most people into VFP7 first though.

Don't get me wrong, it's great that this sort of progress is being made, but I'm getting the impression that VFP8 will be released pretty soon after someone like me will be upgrading to version 7 and will probably feel a bit behind.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
