I agree with you there, I work for a small company & our reputation is on the line with each release, large companies, especially those having a close to monopoly in some areas, seem to have the freedom to release early & use the first users as testers.

My point was that it doesn't matter how many testers & how long they test for unless they have some guidance in testing, even if it's something as simple as a check list, if something is missed you simply update the procedure so it's less likely to be missed next time.

I do agree that you have a rapid response to fixes, & that is highly commendable. Much better than some large companies, who prefer to avoid the problem by redefining the fault as an "undocumented feature" so it needs no action.
