>Providing support and providing an SP are two different things. Also, VB .Net is a different animal than VB6. VB6 probably won't run under VB .Net. Your VFP 6 code runs under VFP7 and it's a good bet that VFP7 code will run under VFP8. Even Fox2x code runs under VFP7. What MS is doing with VB is giving people time to migrate existing apps to the new technology.

Okay so they will be providing support for VB6. Does this include fixes for bugs?

Will they be providing fixes, or hot fixes, for VFP7? As I understand it there are still quite a bit of known bugs in VFP7, some left over from VFP6 and possibly earlier. We must now wait many months for a fix to those bugs? And will they be fixed?

I think my concern, and those others who have voiced concern, is valid. Why stop providing SP or fixes or whatnot for an existing product?
