When you say "old" project do you mean before VFP3.0. I had this error when trying to convert Windows FP2.5 projects to VFP3. Have also had it when converting apps I've inherited to VFP7....Found corrupted report (FRX) files in project.....Once that was fixed project recompiled fine....Don't know if this applies in your situation.....Did you search the message area. Sometime last year there were a fair number of posts on this......
