The only band that you be sure will be the bottom of the page is the page footer. As you know you cannot surpress blank lines in the page footer. Is it that critical that one blank line will mess you up?

You can put a textbox in thepage footer and make its expression something like;

IIF(Condition,"My Text","")

The only problem is that the line will always be used but if the condition is not true then nothing will
be printed there.
