Hi - SQL7 - I have a runaway log file on a database. It was set to auto grow and somebody probably ran up a huge transaction. Anyway - it is now a 1.25 GIG log file for a 84 meg database. How can I get the log file down to say 20-30 meg? If I attempt to modify I am told that the new size must be larger than the old, which is certainly not what I want.

FYI - I have also tried DBCC ShrinkFile - and though it runsfine - the file size remains unchanged
