What he actually does for a PACK is use SQL to create a new temp table of undeleted records. If that works, he deletes the original table and associated files if any [CDX and FPT]. Renames the temp table to the original table name then recreates the indexes, PK, FK, and any other table property found in the meta data.
If there is a PK on the table, he uses that as the ORDER BY in the SQL
