I use OLE Automation to send e-mail messages from a VFP application via MS Outlook 2000. When I create a mail item and invoke its Send method, my message is put into Outlook's Outbox. Is there a way to tell Outlook to actually send the message? For example, can I automatically execute the Send/Receive button on Outlook's toolbar? Or tell Outlook to connect to the internet service provider so that messages will be sent?

The only way I can see to get Outlook to send the messages is to set it up to check mail periodically and leave it running. Since I'm only using Outlook to send messages, I don't want it to be running all the time, and I don't want to require users to configure Outlook this way.
