It seems the best way is to put the CLEAR EVENTS back in the MAIN.PRG.

I honestly do not see why people go through all the hassle of making Modeless Forms. I had to make my opening screen Modeless to accomplish something that could not be done with a Modal Form.

But what I have now learned is its best to put the READ EVENTS into the MAIN.PRG just before DO MYMODELESS FORM. Now when you link to other forms, make them Modal. Then when you finish and return to the MAIN.PRG, have a CLEAR EVENTS line right after DO MYMODELESS FORM .

So I have everything working fine. But for the life of me, I would never voluntarily program a Modeless Form because they have to be coddled so much. And it appears that it is difficult to hook one Modeless Form to another.

Anyway, I have my Modeless Form working, but I will be putting a suggestion for Tahoe that the feature that I wanted be available in a Modal Form.
