Have you checked to see what the stations that they fail on have in common that are different from the stations that they work on? I'd guess that perhaps the failing stations are using a common printer driver, or perhaps OS version, that differs from what the normal functioning stations are using. Things like a missing common local directory, drive mapping or the like may lie behind the failures. Find out what they failing stations have in common that the functioning stations have differently, and you'll likely find the problem.
