As you know, developping software takes time, cost a bundle and when it's finish it's time to start over again. I will like to start a new thread about protecting your code against multiple attacks.With the internet software pirating is a booming business and unemployment does not exists. As a software developer you need to be concerned by this problem as your profit margin will shrink at the rate people are using illegal copies of your software.

Protecting your code against de-compiling. The polite word for it is software re-engineering (Yeah Right !!!).

Giving a demo to a customer and making sure that there are not 100 copies made illegally.

Usage of date restrictions for demo (30 days for example) and the software stops functionning or limit the number of records or functions a demo may permit.

There are no magical solutions here. Software piracy will always exists in some sort. But if we can merge enough ideas we may came up with a more difficult scheme.
