I had occasion today to need to edit a numeric field (3 actually) in some test data while displaying it in a BROWSE window.

The fields were defined as N(7,0) and 2 others as N(12,0).
When I tried to enter more than 4 numerics it would not do it, on any of them. There is NO field validation or other factor (that I can discern).

Yet when I did a REPLACE on each field my larger numbers went in nicely.

I suppose that I'm missing something obvious, but it escapes me. Anyone have the clue I need?
