Hi,
Many times I see people asking how to do some simple tasks (myself included) and they get as a reply
"See class...". I've got to many classes (great ones!), and usually they perform
lots of related functions to the subject in question (and not only the asked one), and I get confused (scared) when trying to understand in those big codes what I was trying to look for. Many times I isolate into a small prg function just the code I need.
Somebody once told me:
"Don't try to understand, just use it.". Sorry, but when it's VFP code, the tool I use, I can't use something without trying to understand how it works.
Shouldn't be easier for the person who's asking something to have the fundamentals told to him, in order that he/she can understand all parts involved?
How can people improve their knowledge without understanding from simple tasks to the complex ones? Am I being too stupid thinking so? That shouldn't be a modern developer's way of thinking?
