Have you looked at the FXPs outbputted by VFP7 and VFP6 programs? That would be the first place to look to see if there is any signficant difference between the versions. How about if the variable was declared with a LOCAL or not?

From the looks of it (I don't have VFP6 here, just 7) using the m. produces slightly more symbols in the FXP, which could mean less ambiguity for the actual runtime, but I coudl be wrong.

Why, by the way, did you address this to Ken? He's the marketting guy. If anyone who watches the UT would know this answer it would probably be Mike Stewart of John Koziol cause they have access to the source code at test it like mad. Though, attn: Fox Team would probably do just as well.
