Status Report – April 25, 2002
I want to thank those of you who’ve been getting us feature ideas, samples, etc. We’ve been spending time collecting them and making sure that we have them captured. Tomorrow is an executive presentation on community efforts that are going on The highlights for the week:
1. Coding has started on the new VB community website on GotDotNet. I’ll let y’all know when it’s ready. Should be a lot of fun. The core of the site is a set of web services, allowing people to post their own announcements about cool articles, samples, user groups, books, web sites, etc. – which we’ll provide a front end to, and afterwards provide access to the data so that 3rd party sites can customize their own front ends with the data.
2. Reviews of community efforts in the group as well as discussions on how to continue to improve things.
3. Work on the next version of VB .NET
4. Started planning the next set of chats (mid-May thru end of June) – if you have any topics you’d like covered, let me know!
