What processor are you using on your W2K machine and what is your client using? I had the same trouble about a year ago. Needless to say after paying for Microsoft support and hours of testing and trying alternatives, the solution was to upgrade to a more recent version. I was getting the problem on Win98 with any processor speed over 600MHZ.
