>>Is anyone aware of an e-mail virus (or maybe just malicious spam) that arrives with the subject "your password" and some URL to click on in the body of the message? An acquaintance of mine reported receiving such a message, purportedly from me. I didn't send it and my machines all come back clean with a NAV virus scan. I can't find any reference to this type of thing at sarc.com, incidents.org, cert.org, etc., although I do recall receiving an e-mail like this myself last week, which I deleted without opening. Does anybody have any information on this?

Thanks, Hilmar. My anti-virus program here at the office reports that it's protecting against several variations of the W32.Klez virus including a couple of Klez.H types. I'll have to double-check the home machine this evening. In any case, I stopped using the preview pane some time ago for exactly this reason. Next we'll have to go back to using pencils, paper and stamps.
