    >The Universal Thread focuses a lot on data integrity. That includes the account info. One reason is that it is important that members receive their PUTM info and stuff like that at expiration time. Otherwise, who do you think they'll blame for it? Also, each new member receives an important welcome email. Without a proper email they won't receive it. So later on, they complain about something and that's the reason. And, the list goes on.
