You could always launch PowerPoint as an external application and wait on its completion via the WSH Run method or my API_APPRUN class in the FIles Section. PowerPoint also is automatable using standard Office Automation techniques - there's some coverage of this in Tamar Granor and Della Matrin's book on Office Automation with VFP6 published by Hentzenwerke
