Hi,

ActiveDoc is the best choice to provide a great user interface inside IE (MSN Explorer or NeoPlanet), even compared DHTML or WebForm .Net based.

ActiveDoc is the only one, better than Java based solution, I'm consultant and I show the best way to offer the best end-user interface. Until now people use Java based framework to make ASP software, some previous consultant talk about .NET, but they not been succesfull.

The demo I used, just a ActiveDoc form talking with a SQL server backend based via HTTP and XML, and even if no people know VFP, my technical project have been adopted versus J2EE and only because I show a simply VFP ActiveDoc form running inside IE.

For data Access just use XML, and you've got the best end-user interface, even versus J2EE with them last JWT classes. ActiveDoc make the client processor running (like the EXE) and by this way offer the best unit charge repartition, your server just provide VFP DLL and manage the DATA that's all.

I think it would be a great mistake to stop support on ActiveDoc, but please if you plan to stop it, tell it as sooner as possible, it's so important, we developped a WebServer which in the first case give a low interface level degree based on HTML generation code (for non windows based system) and give a high level using ActiveDoc and XML (the west wind example show how it's working) for Windows based system.

It would be so great for Microsoft to provide a VFP support on their windows based system (like JAVA until WinXP - by installing VFP DLL in next service pack), after 'Where do you want to go today', imagine 'What would you want to do for FoxPro and Web tomorrow'.

Please keep in mind that ActiveDoc is so important for VFP developper and the best way to enlarge VFP communitie is to suggest VFP DLL support directly on Windows based system (even like an optionnal componant) and show the power of VFP even inside IE by using ActiveDoc !
