I don't understand you. Try to add control in this manner:
1. Open Tools|Options menu;
2. Click on "Controls" tab;
3. Select "ActiveX controls" option;
4. Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Communications Control, version 6.0". Select check left to this row;
5. Click OK.
6. From "Form controls" toolbar, select "ActiveX controls". Comm control will appear on the toolbar;
7. Drag control to the form.
