There was a bug in windows 2000 that would cause the scheduled tasks folder to be searched when ever the user would browse network drives. Microsoft developed a fix for this bug. Below are instructions how to apply the fix.

1. Open Regedit.
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace
3. Find a key named {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}.
4. Right click on it and delete it.
5. Restart

Hope this help.

>I Noted that on W2K when I have 4 or more network dirives maped.

>>Since I upgraded my system to WinXP Professional I find that when I call any function that requires windows explorer to display eg when building an app and confirming the file name and location, there is approx 5 secs delay before it appears. It does not sound much, but if you have a lot of these in a session it becomes frustrating. Anybody else noted this?
