I use the OLEDB provider through VBScript (ADO) to create a database, create tables, populate tables, and (ADOX) index them. Then I reboot the computer.

I have another VBScript that uses ADO to connect to the database and query it. The script runs via a command from an ASP page. I get this from my text log:

ERROR #3706 - Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.

And the script quits.

If I log onto the machine and run the same script, the script runs fine. If I then log out of the machine, and run the script from the web page, it runs fine.

If I reboot, build the database all over again, and let it sit there unattended, it will give me the error until I log on and run at least once manually.

I have a local user account that creates the database, member of the local Administrators group on Win2K. The same user runs the out-of-process account that executes the ASP stuff. This is the same user account I use to log on manually and run things through.
