Jim;

You have heard of some software companies products taking on a religious significance. I would suggest this is more than a marketing term. It is a way of life. The term comes up often and is used when someone takes a theological approach to software. Now rather than “suggest” technology is not a god we have the term “evangelist” to let us know whom the true god is and what software is all about. Shucks there are many gods. Which one is the “real god”? How many times have I talked about the “technology gods”?

You are going to hell if you do not use my software. In reality the participants in such doings are afraid they will go bust or end up in hell if their new concepts do not work as planned. Yes you had better find evangelists and then bring on the prophets. Next we need doctrine, prayers and saints. Our software world already has such things and individuals but they at present have different titles. That may soon change. It is a gradual thing so we are not too surprised.

You are right to be concerned and not accept what is obviously a disgusting attempt to relate software in spiritual terms.

I just want to see these bastards walk on water. Being names Thomas requires proof certain of ones credentials! :)
