Yes it is. My wife is home schooling our 1st grader right now. Ironically, we pulled her from a private Lutheran school, and we will most likely enroll her in a public school just 2 blocks from our house when she starts 2nd grade this fall. We researched the private schools and thought the Luthern school would be a great choice. The school was fine, the problem turned out to be the teacher. We have also evaluated the neighborhood elementary school which looks good. If that turns out bad, we will fall back to homeschooling again. We are fortunate enough to be able to have multiple options.
