One way would require that they have a copy of VFP...they would type in the FREE TABLE command in the command window.

Another way would be to manually modify the .DBF file to remove the backlink to the database container. I don't suppose there are many people who would be able to figure out how to do that.

My point is that you do have a line of defense, but it can certainly be easily overcome...
