there are several problems in trying to prevent this
in VFP e.g.
the only event connected to scrolling occurs after the scrolling happend
(scrolled)

IMHO, it is very difficult (if it is possible) to do that
in VFP alone
btw, u can always try to use GRID OCXs instead
