Ken,

I don't know if this information helps you at all in your research of why people have delayed buying VFP7 but here it is.

We have one license for VFP7 but 4 for VFP6 and 1 for VS6, and we need all developers to be using the same version, of course. So the decision so far has been how best to assign limited resources, and yes, the prospect of Toledo made it seem less urgent to upgrade. I see that talking or not talking about Toledo is a catch-22 for you.

I must say that we did purchase 2 licenses for .NET enterprise developer and took a course in C#, which took a chunk of money and effort. As an aside, I recognize that .NET will be important but it has a long way to go to compare with VFP in productivity and ease of use. The more I know people, the more I love my dog, as W. C. Fields said.

After writing this I realize I should vote with my dollars and upgrade all licenses to VFP7 ASAP.

Alex

>Great news! Out of curiosity, what was the reason for the delay? I've been doing some research learning more about why some VFP developers wait so long until they are upgrading to VFP 7.0 or have not done so yet.
